I agree with you totally. eHow is the worst site. The contents are copied and altered. You will notice that in each article; everything is superficial and general. Nothing specific and detailed. It shows that they have never experimented a damn thing. e.g. Search : ‘Stop cough at night’, and you will get everything in general which other site says. Then go for tech they have it. My God! People at eHow are really such an experts that they know everything from medicine to techs and space but they don’t know anything specific and in details. Comment and no one will know what to say.

I started blocking eHow by clicking in google and coming back; so google gives me opportunity to block it. I suggest all do that.

eHow is full of utter nonsense. It irritates me how it masquerades as an information site but they are misleading at best and downright liars at worst. Someone needs to expose these scandalous scumbags. They give the net a bad name.

I was googling around trying to find *good* information about trimming my dog’s dewclaw nail. I reluctantly clicked on an eHow article about it and was reading through the usual superficially-researched steps that go in sequential order. Yatta, yatta, restrain your dog, yatta yatta, hold your dew claw away from the leg, etc. After number 4, “Remove small amounts of nail”, I was astounded to reach this one:

5. Remove the dew claw entirely, with its skin attachment, or toe. This option may make sense for an overgrown claw that is infected or that often gets stuck on objects in the dog’s environment, and is an operation that a veterinarian must perform.

Check out the word order on that one. If I am following the steps sequentially 1-5, I have just been instructed to remove my dog’s toe. If it’s infected or gets stuck or whatever, OK. Or, what’s that? The very last part? Oh, A VET MUST PERFORM IT. Oh.

Guys? This could have been worded a lot better. This is all the prompting that many idiots need to start to do their own anesthesia-free home vet care. I think the part about DON’T CUT OFF YOUR DOG’S TOE YOURSELF should be given a little more emphasis here.

Great site you’ve got here. I Googled “ehow has the worst articles” to see if anyone agreed and your site popped up. People need to know how shitty the articles on eHow are. You can damage things or hurt yourself, etc – like you said “nobody tries it before writing it”. Misinformation is worse than no information.

Anyway,

She begins by telling you to wear cotton gloves to handle film negatives. Mind you negatives have _thin_ layers of gelatin on them (yes, gelatin like ‘Jell-O’), the slightest ‘bump’ can scratch a negative. She continues on saying to use a paintbrush to sweep the film. If that wasn’t bad enough, her last suggestion is using ACETONE. I nearly lost my mind when I saw that. Picture an exploding firey missile being shot through a piece of tissue paper… Acetone eats through plastic in a heartbeat!

Yes, these methods will clean film —- clean it right off the Earth!
I think I’ll now officially block eHow results from appearing on Google and add them to my hosts file. Enough’s enough.

PS the pic I put up was something mundane, unrelated and stupid – which is pretty much all Demand lets us post. PS Demand people – I am among the writers who have had it. He says you read this blog, so knock yourself out and read this – I’m moving on because you really do treat writers like shit. Oh well. You prolly deserve this site…..

You have your opinion and that’s fine I truly have no problem with you slamming Demand Studios – if I don’t like it, I don’t have to look at it, right?
